The Mountain Serenity residence is a 42-square-meter space that exudes tranquility and elegance. Designed to serve as both a residence and a classroom for teaching Taichi, this unique project takes into account the client's living rituals, preferences, collections, and working needs.

The design team has artfully incorporated Oriental elements throughout the space, creating a connection between culture and architecture. The interior showcases a collection of window lattices, Chinese furniture, decorations, and viewing pieces, which eliminate the need for solid walls and cabinets. This design choice allows for a seamless flow between the interior and exterior, providing breathtaking vistas.

The use of genuine Tatajuba timber flooring, Chinese-style window lattices, solid timber, and washed pebbles adds to the authenticity and charm of the Mountain Serenity residence. The meticulous attention to detail and the incorporation of Chinese spatial vocabulary and old-style window grilles create a unique and tranquil environment in the midst of the chaotic urban landscape.

Despite the limited floor area, the design maximizes functionality by utilizing concealed spaces for storage. The lower floor is an open public area, while the upper level serves as a reading and living space. The serene ambiance is further enhanced by the symmetrical woodwork with concealed mirrors, which can be opened up for occasional study workshops.

One of the standout features of the Mountain Serenity residence is the interaction between the design and its users. The entire room is articulated with Oriental elements, creating a dynamic and captivating entrance that embodies the owner's calmness and heroism. The elevated ceiling, designed with a pitched roof and complemented by white acrylic and genuine timber, adds to the poetic quality of the space.
